FAR FROM HOME ENTERTAINMENT is the cultivation of a broad spectrum of interests and ambitions.  Founded by Elizabeth "Izze" Gibson, she wanted to develop a place that all artists could consider their home.  With motivation from actors, dancers, songwriters, playwrights and filmmakers, FFHE is about thinking outside of the box and accomplishing the impossible.

Born and bred on the East Coast, Izze Gibson grew up with a passion for music, theatre, and dance.  She attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York and Los Angeles before earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from The New School.  After years of pounding the pavement as an aspiring actor and dancer, Izze began to focus her time on writing.  She self-produced three of her own theatrical pieces (Detention Therapy, City Lights: A Place with Dance, and FanChick) before heading (mid) West to a little town called Chicago.

Once in Chicago Izze began to pursue her passion of synchronizing music to film and attended Columbia College Chicago.  After just four short (but intense) semesters, Izze graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Business Management with a concentration in Music Publishing.

Izze continues to pursue her personal passions in the arts while providing this platform to others.  She currently resides in Brooklyn with her pup Ringo.

a few questions....

Concert or Event you wish you could have attended: The '67 Monterey Pop Festival when Janis and Jimi performed.

What would the name of your band be: Hon Meets Hipster.  All-girl punk band featuring some mad ukulele solos.

Favorite toy growing up: Embarrassingly enough I slept with my baby blanket until I was 25 and only stopped because it got lost in Hurricane Sandy.  I'm still hopeful that I'll find it someday.  It has the Muppet Babies on it - have you seen it?!

Favorite movie quote: It's a recent one - in Bridge of Spies James Donovan (Tom Hanks) asks Rudolf Abel (Mark Rylance): "Are you worried?" and Abel responds with: "Would it help?"

If you could have a drink with anyone alive or dead, who would it be? It would have to be tea, but it would definitely be Robin Williams.

If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Periwinkle

Favorite celebrity encounter: Every single time I've ever said "That looks like so and so" and it actually was.
